Season preview: Return to the super musicals at Wycombe Swan!

Musicals fans are in for a New Year treat after Wycombe Swan announced a host of smash hit shows coming its way in early 2015.

Perhaps most mouth-watering is Olivier Award-winning rock spectacular Return to the Forbidden Planet (16-21 February), 14 years after the its last UK tour.

There’s also Saturday Night Fever (20 -24 January), The Full Monty (6-11 April) and Calamity Jane (14-18 April) to get excited about.

Meanwhile, Rebecca (9-14 March) and The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas (21-25 April) are the outstanding plays on offer.

Comedy acts Mark Watson (February 8), Ross Noble (February 14) , Dara O’Briain (February 26), Omid Djalili (March 21), Stewart Francis (May 27), Milton Jones (May 31) and the Reduced Shakespeare Company (March 24) will be sure to tickle funny bones.

Strictly Come Dancing rivals Brendan Cole (Janurary 31) and Pasha Kovalev (March 25) headline their own tours with plenty of ballroom, Latin, sensational costumes and amazing costumes.

The Swan also welcomes the return of Moscow City Ballet with Swan Lake (March 26).

Britain’s Got Talent finalists Richard & Adam (February 11) will perform songs from the movies, The Three Degrees (February 5) will bring their hit songs to town, and there’s some top tribue acts including Songbird – The Music of Eva Cassidy (February 12) , Waterloo – the best of ABBA (February 13) , Secret Love – The Music of Doris Day, (February 15) MAGIC – the Best of Queen (February 28), Rumours of Fleetwood Mac (March 3) and Jackson Live (March 6).

For younger theatre goers there’s The Chuckle Brothers (March 7), circus skills with Cirque Beserk (March 16-18)and a sing-a-long to Frozen (April 2).
