Now in its fifth year, a week-long youth holiday club will see more than 850 children and hundreds of volunteers unite for some summer fun.

Heavy rainfall has meant the event initially set to take place at Lord William’s’ Upper School playing field has now moved to the Thame Showground. This will be from July 23-27.

The event attracts children from Thame and surrounding villages, and has grown from a groundswell of people in 19 churches. And it’s not just for the youngsters – Silver Lighthouse for the retired has also seen rising numbers.

Sessions for parents and toddlers are also available, but do not require any advanced booking. The Parents Café is open all day and allows mums and dads to catch up over a tea or coffee and enjoy homemade cakes.
