BURGLARS escaped with a bumper haul including mobile phones, laptop, fuel and quad bike from a farm in Longwick.

The thieves broke a padlock at the farm’s private yard by breaking a padlock. Once inside the yard the offenders broke into two caravans, taking a black HP laptop, several mobile phones.

The offenders also stole a red and black Yamaha Blaster quad bike, a garden leaf blower, two sledge hammers, a post knocker and 2,000 litres of red diesel which they siphoned out of steel containers.

The incident happened on Sunday May 6 between 11.30am and 2pm.

Police are appealing for anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area or who has been offered the stolen goods to come forward.

They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who witnessed a heavily laden white Ford Transit van leaving the site at around 1pm turning onto the A4129 Longwick towards Thame.
