A TEAM of business studies students from Lord Williams’s School have made it through to the finals of a national competition.
The A-level students beat six other schools from the area to qualify for the finals of the National Business Game in June.
Team member Matt Brockfield said: “It was a pretty scrutinising competition but it was really fun and definitely a good experience.
“It was great to present in front of the audience and it was nice to learn about different areas of business away from what we do at school.”
Matt was joined by Laura Chambers, Jessica Greenhalgh, Dan Eyre, Matthew Wingrove and Hannah Price as they worked together to solve a business proposition.
The competition involved the team taking on the role of a chartered accountant.
At the event they were given a situation and had to come up with a proposal on how a business should act.
Business Studies teacher Sue Archer said: “The students performed brilliantly and it was commented that they were excellent representatives for the school.”
