More than 40 like-minded singers turned out for the pop-up choir at The Barns Centre in Thame last Saturday afternoon.

Choir director Ian English, who leads a jazz quartet locally and The Notations rock and blues band said: “It’s informal, fun, and no music reading ability is needed.

“It’s just an opportunity to get together for some group singing.

“I ran one as part of the Thame Arts and Literature Festival last autumn and it proved very successful.

“I plan to hold a follow-up pop-up in June.”
