MORE than £10,000 was raised by the Thame branch of the Royal British Legion in 2010.

The exact figure was £10,411, which all came about through volunteers helping out in the town centre.

Poppy appeal boxes were located in various shops in the High Street and there was a parade on Remembrance Sunday.

The money will go towards those who have fought for their country, with as much emphasis being on those who are serving in current conflicts as remembering the thousands who died in the First and Second World Wars.
