Witches and wizards were seen wandering the streets of Thame on Saturday night as Harry Potter fans queued outside The Book House for the late-night launch of the latest in the popular book series.
Around 50 people attended the midnight launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the book store in the High Street.
The late-night opening follows a tradition at the store for previous Harry Potter novels.
Once again, some fans and Book House staff donned suitably themed costumes for the occasion.
The new book is based on a West End stage play by Jack Thorne and is the eighth book in the series to be released.
A spokesman for the shop said: “Reviews of both the book and play have been excellent and book sales totalled in excess of 50 on the night.”
