A PRIMARY school opened its doors to a slightly older generation than usual last week.
Ten pensioners have embarked on a five-week computer course at Oakley Church of England Combined School.
Villagers discovered there were a significant number of adults who were keen to learn ICT skills, but found it difficult to get to study centres due to the rural location of Oakley, so are now using the school’s ICT facilities.
Linda Blackmore, course tutor, said: “It has been really beneficial for the students to be able to develop their IT skills, making use of up to date equipment available so close to home.”
