PC World and Currys are moving from Broadfields Retail Park to Cambridge Close Retail Park.

The technology companies, owned by Dixons, will open in one unit next month.

A spokesman said: “We have a nationwide programme of refitting and relocating Currys and PC World stores to make them easier and more exciting places for customers to shop.”

A new home and garden furnishing retail chain, The Range, could also open at Broadfields.

The outlet, owned by CDS Superstores, has applied to install a mezzanine level in unit 6 (formerly MFI) and unit 7 which is currently used by Halfords.

It is unclear whether Halfords would close as a result.
