People young and old have packed St Mary’s Church for the Mayor of Thame’s civil service.

More than 150 people attended the annual service, which showcased a range of community groups from the town, including SAFARI and Thame Players.

Councillor Peter Lambert’s take on the traditional service demonstrated a cross-section of the people of Thame, with flag bearers, chocolates, balloons and songs included in the programme.

John Hampden Primary School choir and Thame Chamber Choir performed a number of musical pieces and the mayor’s cadet, Sgt Tom Harris, gave a reading.

In addition to the proceedings, £376.78 was raised through donations.
