A coach firm which has been taking Vale residents on holidays and day trips for 61 years has expanded even further.

Motts Coaches, which was founded in 1953, has invested in three new coaches, and a luxury touring Setra to add to its fleet.

The most impressive, a 63-seat, leather finished OmniExpress Scania, boasts a climate control system, a DVD player with two monitors, a sunken toilet and a drinks machine.

A smaller Scania, which is also part of the new fleet, has 38 luxury seats, a rear floor-mounted washroom and servery unit and two fridges for beverages.

The coaches will be housed at the family-run firm’s depot in Stocklake, where the company moved in 2005.

They will help Motts Coaches provide coach transport around the region as well as further afield.

Roger Mott, director of Motts Travel, said: “We are delighted to have added these four new vehicles to our fleet.

“We always strive to
offer the best service for coach hire and day trips and want our customers to use us again and again.

“With these brand new coaches, we can offer great comfort and reliability and with the different sizes, we have the flexibility to meet everyone’s needs.”

He added: “With added competition in the local area, we wanted to make sure we stayed at the forefront with the newest and best vehicles possible.

“We already have several Scanias that serve us well so it was a no-brainer when it came to choosing the coaches for the hire and day trip side.

“The Mercedes Cheetah is perfect for school collections and shorter journeys and the Stra 416 GT-HD is a coach we knew about from the Crusader Holidays side of the business.

“So we wanted to have that
extra bit of luxury available for hire.”

The new additions bring the Motts Coaches fleet up to 65 coaches and buses
including the 12 Crusader Holidays touring coaches.
