The organisers of Cornbury Music Festival have named more top acts for this summer’s line-up.

The festival will take place from July 8-10 at the Great Tew Estate near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.

Topping the bill on Saturday is Bryan Ferry, along with pioneering Gospel diva Mavis Staples, singer songwriter Gabrielle Aplin and original alt-country star Lucinda Williams.

After his triumph as surprise special guest last year, Seal returns with his own headline slot on Sunday, alongside celebrated singer-songwriter James Morrison.

Guitar virtuoso Newton Faulkner will also perform, as will 1960s rock combo The Zombies.

Musicians who had been announced previously include top UK jazzer Jamie Cullum, 80s acid jazz pioneers Soul II Soul, R&B troubadour Lemar, rock ‘n’ roll survivor
Wilko Johnson and Ska veterans The Beat along with newcomers Port Isla and The Dunwells.

Festival promoter Hugh Phillimore said: “It really is a classic Cornbury line-up – seriously great artists.

“We’re also excited to welcome a host of incredible female artists across the generations – Gabrielle Aplin, Lucinda Williams and Mavis Staples.”
