THAME Freemasons generously donated more than £500 to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Bob Styles, current master of St Mary’s Masonic Lodge, handed the cheque for £560 to Sandra Davison, chair of the Friends of Thame and District CAB last week.

Mr Styles said: “The invaluable work of the CAB is well known to lodge members who are delighted to have been able to donate this money as part of their own support to local causes.”

In return, Sandra thanked the lodge members for their generous donation.

The CAB is a charity without central funding which relies on grants and donations to operate.

The money will be used to fund advice services for the people of Thame and surrounding areas.
