A man had to be rescued by firemen after becoming stuck in a children’s swing in Aston Clinton Park.

Bucks Fire were called to the scene at 6.25pm on Monday and used a ‘Milwaukee saw’ to cut him free.

Spokesman Fraser Pearson said: “These situations are very unusual.

“People sometimes find themselves in a tight situation and that happens to be their moment of need when they call us.”

Mr Pearson said such scenarios are rare for the fire brigade to deal with and that he can only recall one similar instance last year.

He added: “It might have been quite painful to have been in that situation.

“I think 99% of adults with children will have tried out a swing and got out with no trouble.

“When equipment is designed for use by children, it’s best to follow the age guidelines.”
