A man has been arrested in connection with a daylight attack in which a woman was cut with a knife and punched.

The 25 year old was arrested on April 22 on suspicion of assault following the incident in the Coppice park, Aylesbury.

He has been released on bail until May 8.

Kazzia Gouyer, 24, was attacked as she walked her dog at around 11am on March 21.

A man came out from the trees and swore at her, saying: “I hate brunettes.”

The story made the front page of the Bucks Herald.

Speaking days after the attack, Miss Gouyer said: “He pulled the knife from his pocket, held it to my cheek and then my chin.

“Then he flicked the knife upwards and cut me and then he punched me.

“What was so random was he didn’t want anything off me.

“I would like to know why he said what he did to me, that he hates brunettes. That has really stuck with me and I keep thinking about it.”
