Lorry driver arrested after six-vehicle smash-up

A LORRY driver has been arrested after a six-vehicle crash saw two women taken to hospital.

The incident took place on the A413 in Winslow near the Swanbourne junction on Thursday, May 10 at around 9am.

The collision involved a blue Ford Focus, a silver Vauxhall Astra, a black Seat Leon, a white Iveco lorry, a red Skoda Octavia and a white Renault Master van.

A woman who was in the Leon has been taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital with neck pain and a woman from the Astra has been taken to the JR2 Hospital with serious back and internal injuries.

The driver of the lorry, a 28-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently in custody at Aylesbury police station.
