FORTY fire-fighters were needed to stem the flames of a blaze which broke out at Cuddington and Dinton Church of England School on Sunday.
The roof of the school’s single storey extension suffered considerable damage, although the older part of the building escaped untouched.
The fire started at around 6.30am in the boiler room cupboard before spreading to roof.
Crews from Haddenham, Aylesbury and Princes Risborugh attended the fire.
Station manager Doug Gruchy said: “About 50 per cent of the roof has been damaged, and there is also damage to an office and toilet area. A number of other rooms have been smoke-damaged.”
