CLOWNS and facepainters were the main attraction of Thame’s Community Fun Day as children made the most of their school holidays.
Arranged by the town council, the fun day was set up to give community groups an opportunity to promote themselves and for children to enjoy the entertainment.
The Thame Wombles took the opportunity to get their Womble costume out and around the town as Michelle Diffey got dressed up, while Thame Museum had people put on 17th century bonnets.
Thame Mayor David Bretherton was also on hand to give Peter Hart the Flash of the Year 2011 award for his greeting card stall.
Town crier, Anthony Church was also wondering around the town.
