A LONG Crendon woman will be taking part in a midnight walk next weekend to raise money in memory of her mother.
Kelly Hobson, 30, will take to the streets of Aylesbury on July 16 as part of the Florence Nightingale Hospice’s Gemstone Midnight Walk.
Kelly said: “I am walking in support of Florence Nightingale as they gave such great care to my late mum Kathryn (pictured left with Kelly).
“She had been battling brain cancer for nearly two years and used the day hospice every Thursday.
“In March mum got a bit worse and struggled more with her mobility so spent six weeks in Florence Nightingale for them to assess and support her.
“This they did and got her home for her 39th wedding anniversary. Sadly mum lost the fight and passed away at home on June 6.
“I will still be walking in support of Florence Nightingale but now sadly also in memory of my wonderful, amazing and brave mum.”
