Jewellery taken in spate of thefts

Jewellery and car keys have been stolen in a series of burglaries in the Vale.

The incidents took all place in Bedgrove yesterday (Thursday) between 7.30am and 5.35pm.

In each case, thieves broke in through the rear door or window of properties after using tools to force entry.

Jewellery was stolen from two properties in Pike Corner and two in Limes Avenue.

Car keys were also taken during one of the burglaries in Limes Avenue,

PC Johnston from Aylesbury Vale CID, said: “We would like to hear from anyone that may have been in the area at the time of these incidents and may have seen anything suspicious to please contact the police via the 101 number.

“I am also keen to appeal to local residents for their assistance in identifying suspects by please checking their private CCTV systems.

“We suspect the offenders will have travelled between the small residential streets of Bedgrove between the offence locations, and we cannot rule out that they may have been picked up on CCTV somewhere on the estate.

“We would greatly appreciate assistance from the local residents with this investigation.

“We are treating these offences as linked and pursuing all active enquiries.”
