A man has been arrested after a burglary in Aylesbury during broad daylight.

Thieves used a brick to smash a rear patio door at the property in Mandeville Road.

Once inside they stole electrical items, jewellery and cash.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been released on bail until July 22.

The burglary took place between 10.10am and 2.30pm on May 22.

Investigating officer PC Sam Stansbie said: “This burglary happened in broad daylight at a house which is on a busy road, so hopefully there will be witnesses who can help our inquiry.

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw a person or people acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident, to come forward.

“Burglaries are intrusive crimes and have a serious impact on people’s lives, so offences like this will not be tolerated.”

Anyone with information should call 101 and ask to speak to PC Stansbie. If you would like to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or go to
