The Florence Nightingale Hospice is to open a new outlet in Haddenham in October.
The store which will be based in Fort End, behind the House of Spice will be used as a ‘donation drop zone.’
The hospice’s head of retail Phil Moody said: “We are very keen to establish a presence in Haddenham as we have such a strong supporter base there.
“The last year has seen 49 referrals from the Haddenham surgery for Florence Nightingale Hospice services and so we feel it important to open and be a more active part of that community.
“The outlet will be used primarily to encourage donors to drop off their donations which will then be transported to our newly established distribution centre in Aylesbury where they will be sorted and stored awaiting despatch to any one of our current shops, particularly Thame.
“The outlet will also carry a small retail offering the full details of which will be announced in due course.
“We intend to run the outlet solely with volunteers and, as such, it will open at times to suit them but ideally from about 9.30am to 3pm for as many days as we can get volunteers.”
