FLORENCE Nightingale Hospice Charity staff and volunteers will be taking part in a bag-packing festive fundraiser hoping to raise as much money as possible for the local hospice.
The all-day event, at Marks & Spencer in Aylesbury on Saturday December 3, will help the charity towards the half a million pounds a year it needs to support local families affected by life-limiting illnesses.
Volunteers dressed in Christmas fancy dress will be at the till helping customers with their shopping in order to encourage donations.
Teresa King, community fundraiser at FNHC said: “We all love being involved with this event, as there’s a real buzz at the Marks & Spencer store during the build-up to Christmas, and customers are always very friendly and supportive of the Florence Nightingale Hospice – we’re all really looking forward to it.”
The Aylesbury high street store has already raised over £13,000 for the local hospice through fundraising events such as bucket collections and ‘guess the value of the items of the goods in the trolley’.
The event is part of the charity’s corporate companion scheme, which is free to join and open to all local businesses.
