Around £30,000 is being sought to resurface a Grendon Underwood car park troubled by uneven surfaces and potholes.

A £10,000 grant has already been approved by Bucks County Council’s Waddesdon Local Area Forum for the village hall car park, but the entire project is expected to cost closer to £40,000.

The village hall fundraising team are appealing for help to raise the money and practical assistance to reduce costs.

Councillor Paul Irwin, chairman of Waddesdon LAF, said: “This car park is used by so many groups that with a little bit of a push, I feel we could meet this target quite easily.

“If local businesses could donate some trees for landscaping or machinery that could be used, it would be an enormous help.

“This is a community project and one of which I hope will bring people together while doing some good.”

The hall is used by a range of groups, including the local football team, Scouts, drama group, martial arts and yoga.

The car park is also used twice daily by parents dropping off and collecting children at the school nearby.
