Hundreds of pounds have been raised for charity at a concert held at St Mary’s Church in Haddenham.
Hosted by Freda Dorrell, known in the village for her fundraising activities and theatre trips, the October 18 event was in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Fronted by Tim Armitt, the concert presented a range of musical talent, with an eclectic programme to delight the near capacity audience.
Musicians included the Haddenham Bell Ringers, Haddenham Recorder Group, Daniel Bedwell, The Brambles Consort, Magdalene Smith, TCC2 Children’s Choir, Sheilagh Armitt and Ellie Norcott.
Haddenham Hoofers also entertained the crowd with their unique style of metal capped clog dancing, based on Appalachian traditions.
The evening raised more than £670 for the charities.
Mrs Dorrell thanked everyone who provided entertainment and came along to support the event.
Her next fundraising activity will be a doll’s house exhibition in the village hall on November 23, which will feature doll house clubs from the area as well as the exhibits of crafts people.
