Grange School children performing Shakespeare

The Grange School present A Midsummer Night’s Dream tonight.

The event will start at 5pm with a barbecue in the back field of the school, you can also bring your own picnic food.

Musical entertainment will commence before the production and there will be a bar and hot drinks.

Juliette Ingle, who is organising the event, said: “The occasion is going to be a unique, magical and fun evening for all.

“Children are very welcome - wings and wands will be on sale and we hope it will be a truly positive introduction to Shakespeare. T

“he music will be varied – from authentic Elizabethan Lute music to jazz and rock, together with traditional jigs. “Please bring all your family and friends. With your support it will be a night to remember.”

Tickets, which are available from the school reception, cost £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

You can also see some of the cast performing excerpts from the play in Friars Square between 2pm and 4pm today.
