The Mandeville was the only school in the Herald’s patch not to reveal its GCSE pass rate this morning.
However, the school’s deputy head Greg West said: “The results are in line with our expectations.
“We are very proud of all the staff and students and we have had some outstanding individual results in English, music and triple science.”
He added some marks were ‘borderline’ and appeals could therefore push up their pass rate.
One of the school’s outstanding students was Courtney Blain who achieved six A*, two As and one B.
He said: “I am absolutely ecstatic. I am quite overwhelmed about my results, they haven’t yet sunk in.
“I am now looking at doing A-levels at Aylesbury Grammar School and then I will hopefully go on to university to study physics.”
Pass rates of all schools in the country are published by the government in November.
Twelve months ago 38% of Mandeville students recorded five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths.
