Cottesloe School is celebrated its best ever GCSE results after 58% of students got five or more A* to Cs including English and Maths.

Headteacher Andy McBurnie credited the success to the dedication of students and staff at the School.

He added: “I am delighted for the students and staff, who have worked so hard. I am especially pleased by the significant increase in the highest grades achieved by our students.

“I am extremely proud of our students and I would like to congratulate them on their achievements. Many will be joining our sixth form and I expect them to be equally successful in their future A-level studies.”

The school also was pleased as 79% of its students achieved 5A* to Cs.

Mr McBurnie added, “I am also proud of the teachers who have worked so hard to improve the quality of teaching and learning and to inspire students to succeed beyond their target grades. This is an exciting time for The Cottesloe School and we are confident that we will continue to build on this year’s success.”
