Aylesbury Grammar School students have been celebrating their GCSEs this morning, with 99.5% getting 5 A* to C grades including English and maths.
The average grade for the 186 students was just under an A, with an average of nearly 10 As each.
Headteacher Stephen Lehec said: “I’m very proud of the results produced by the students and I believe that this reflects well on both them and the hard work put in by staff and students at the school over a number of years.
“I am delighted with the overall success rate that compares well to previous years when the talk nationally is of results going down.”
Eddie Bains, John Gardner, Trevor Lowe and William Smart got 11 A*s, with Trevor getting an additional A grade.
Eddie, 16, from Princes Risborough is going to study maths, further maths, French, history and music at A level.
He said: “I’m so surprised and happy.
“I couldn’t believe it when I opened my results.”
