A hard rock band that just a few years ago was playing out in The Stables of The James Figg on Thame High Street, has won the Oxford regional final of Bloodstock Festival’s Metal 2 the Masses competition.

As a result the band, Hells’ Gazelles, is playing The New Blood Stage today (Sunday) at Bloodstock Open Air, the country’s largest independent metal festival which takes place in Derbyshire

This is a huge moment for the band whose members are lead singer Cole Bryant and guitarist Nath Digman who are from Thame and went to school together, bassist Dan Podbery from Eynsham and drummer Luke Evans from High Wycombe.

Cole said: “We are extremely proud to be chosen to represent the best in Oxfordshire’s rock/metal scene.”
