Eco students lead ‘green revolution’

PUPILS at Lord Williams’s School have been named ‘the UK’s eco-friendliest teens’ in a competition judged by TV adventurer Ben Fogle.

The competition saw 11 year olds from across the country send in video reports of their green efforts.

The Thame pupils stood out with their focus on encouraging fellow students to recycle food waste – which was then used in their allotment.

The school’s ‘parent mail’ system was also praised by the judges.

It is an electronic newsletter that saves pupils having to take printed letters home.

Mr Fogle, pictured left, said: “Lord Williams’s School’s film really stood out for the passion they showed and their enthusiasm to make a real difference.”

The prize is a trip to an outdoor activity centre in the Lake District.
