TWO men have been fined a total of £780 for fly-tipping in Thame.
Luke Dean, 25, and brother Billy Dean, of Van Dyke, Bracknell, pleaded guilty to dumping 10, 20-litre cans in DAF Trucks’ car park in July 2010.
The pair were caught after the council’s environmental health offices checked CCTV, which led them to their vehicle.
Luke Dean was fined £565 and brother Billy £215 at Oxford Magistrates Court
The duo appeared in court on June 20 along with Adil Soufiani from Headington, who pleaded guilty to failing to use a registered waste carrier to dispose of his rubbish.
Cabinet member Dorothy Brown, said: “We’re bringing more and more people who make a mess of our beautiful district to justice.
“Not only do we have more covert cameras catching fly-tippers in the act but we’re also keen to find evidence linking the rubbish to its owner. And residents should be aware they must use a registered waste carrier or they face a fine.”
