Wendover is hosting a ‘Taste of Summer’ food and drink festival on Saturday.
On offer on the day will be foodie businesses from the village offering tempting nibbles, treats and gifts to purchase, as well as food producers from the surrounding area, including beer and cider-makers and much, much more.
The event promises to be a true community experience bringing together people from across the Vale to sample some wonderful food creations and flavour sensations and in turn help support the High Street and raise vital funds for two great causes – Florence Nightingale Hospice and Wendover’s Clock Tower Fund.
Nicola Grant, manager of No2 Pound Street, which is hosting the event, said: “Our aim is to bring a real buzz to Wendover High Street.
“Wendover’s Manor Waste will be transformed into food and drink heaven for six hours! There will also be a programme of cooking demonstrations in the interactive area, so make sure you don’t miss out.”
Ruth Early, the hospice’s events fundraiser added: “And don’t worry mums and dads, we’ll be hosting a special treasure hunt on the day with ‘lucky dip’ prizes for the kids and a glass of bubbly for adults, so this should keep the whole family entertained.”
