A developer says it is in negotiations with a care home firm in a bid to open a 90-bed home in Stoke Mandeville.
On Monday, Landlink Ltd was given the green light to open the business on the former BOCM site in Stoke Mandeville.
The announcement followed the conclusion of planning condition discussions with Aylesbury Vale District Council.
Nick Keeler, from the property firm, told the Herald: “There’s a user in negotiations. Until we know who’s going to be building it and operating it, it’s difficult to say when the specific date is that it’s going to be opening.
“Hopefully it will provide closure on a pretty derelict site.”
The Risborough Road site has been empty for more than 25 years.
