Thieves stole jewellery, computer games and tennis racquets from a home in Burcott Lane, Aylesbury.

The thieves smashed the rear patio door between 11.30am and 4pm on Thursday before ransacking the house, police said today.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed until August 5.

Investigating officer PC Samantha Stansbie from Aylesbury Local CID said: “This offence took place in broad daylight and would have been at a time when a lot of people were around.

“I would urge anyone with information to contact police.”
