A ‘full scale brawl’ outside a town centre pub left traffic lights damaged on Saturday morning.

Onlookers say the fight broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning outside the Black Horse in Cornmarket, Thame.

The row is then believed to have spilled towards Sainsbury’s in the High Street, where a car linked to the incident is said to have hit traffic lights close to the store.

One resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: “It was a full scale brawl, and ended by a car taking out the pedestrian traffic system outside Sainsbury’s.

“It was a big fight, and was not just a drunken scrap.”

It is believed that the fight broke out between 1am and 2am and multiple people were involved.

Staff at the pub said that they were unable to discuss the incident because of the ongoing police investigation.

A police spokesman confirmed that the force is investigating an affray, and urged any witnesses to come forward.
