New traffic lights in Aylesbury built as part of the Arla dairy development in Aston Clinton are set to start working on Wednesday.
As part of the deal which allowed the dairy project to go ahead, lights have been put in at the junction of Oakfield Road and King Edward Avenue on the A41.
Temporary lights have been in use in the past week as work is finalised, resulting in long traffic jams.
However, Bucks County Council has said it will not be so bad once the permanent lights go live.
The council’s Rosemary Bryant said: “The temporary lights are not phased in the same way as the permanent lights will be.”
