Could TV antiques star find Thame’s gems?

RESIDENTS of Thame are invited to spend an educational evening with Cash in the Attic TV star Jonty Hearnden.

The celebrated antiques expert, who also features on the Antiques Road Show, is coming to town to host a fundraising evening on behalf of Thame Museum.

The event will take place at Thame United’s new ASM football stadium at Meadow View Park.

The special night is being structured as an interactive evening with guests invited to bring their own antiques and collectables so Jonty can value them and offer advice in the style of the popular TV shows.

Jonty will pick some of them to talk about in detail.

The audience will then be invited to join in the total valuation, the nearest to Jonty’s will win a prize.

So start selecting your antiques to bring along for this very special evening.  (For safety and security they cannot accept glass, ceramics or jewellery). Jonty is particularly interested in items which have a story behind them.

This promises to be a fun and extremely popular evening and guests are strongly recommend to book now to avoid disappointment.

Jonty began his career working with Bonhams Auctioneers London in 1979 as a furniture cataloguer. He then managed Lots Road Galleries, an auction room also in London. In 1990 he started as an antiques dealer through his business, Dorchester Antiques, in Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
