Oxo mum Lynda Bellingham could be immortalised forever with plans unveiled to name part of the Waterside Theatre after her.
The promenade that leads to the theatre’s second space could take the name of the late actress, who died just before Christmas from cancer.
A notice of motion, submitted by councillor Howard Mordue and seconded by councillor Janet Blake will be discussed by Aylesbury Vale District Council on February 25.
It reads: “Lynda Bellingham OBE, was a well known actress, broadcaster and author who starred between 1983 and 1999 in the Oxo Family advertisements.
“She also appeared on All Creatures Great and Small, Doctor Who and was a panellist on the chat show Loose Women between 2007 and 2011.
“She lived in Aston Abbots, was educated at Aylesbury High School and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She was awarded the OBE for her services to charity, and her husband has now become an ambassador for the charity Action Against Cancer to carry on her work.
“I propose that the council approves the naming of the promenade concourse/gallery area of the Waterside Theatre in her memory and that a suitable plaque is erected.”
