A little girl’s bright idea for a board game could become a reality.

Isla Lloyd Evans, nine, who attends Monks Risborough School, came up with the idea for strategy game HexCollect, which she plays with her mum Catherine and her sister Hetty, eight.

And the game, where players have to beat others to collect six coloured hexagons is now through to the final of the national Young Games Inventor 2014 competition.

Run by Brainbox Games, which is the based in High Wycombe, the competition offers young inventors the chance to have their game made into a real product.

You can vote for your favourite game by visiting until November 2.

Isla, who lives in Princes Risborough, said: “ If I win I will be so excited, I will jump up and down.”
