After the success of Lord Williams’s School’s GCSE in bowls, Thame Bowls Club is urging more youngsters to get involved with the sport during the summer holidays.

The club will be hosting sessions on Saturdays in August from 11am-1pm. All you need is flat shoes.

Former BBC weatherman and Thame BC chairman Bill Giles said: “We are really keen to get the younger generation involved.

“We often play against teams who have teenaagers in their sides and that’s what we want to see.

“Come along and enjoy it.”
