Great Missenden’s church of St Peter and St Paul will be filled with more than 20 Christmas trees this year as it aims to spread festive cheer.
Church groups and schools have been busy planning their themes and making decorations which they will show off from Friday December 7.
David Harris, spokesman for the church, said: “The church will be open from 10am-4pm each weekday and special cream teas are being served on Saturday December 8 and Sunday 9 during the afternoon.
“Ken Harratt at the piano will be entertaining the visitors on Saturday afternoon and the Jordan Junior Strings will be playing on Sunday afternoon.
“On Saturday evening, Commotio, Oxford’s contemporary voices, will add its own extra sparkle to the Great Missenden Christmas tree festival by promoting the works of current composers, as well as bringing to the fore little-known works of more established writers.
“Commotio’s programme offers a refreshing change to the standard repertoire.”
The Christmas tree festival runs until Wednesday December 12.
