An Aylesbury pub has reopened following an extensive refurbishment and a new focus on locally sourced food and drink.

Millwrights in Walton Road has changed its interior and exterior as well as reverting to its original name The Old Millwrights Arms.

New licensee, Hayley Reader said: “It is a brand new start and I am very proud to be taking the pub forward. We feel very passionately about the importance of serving food and drink sourced from local suppliers. This is a big part of the new ethos at the pub.”

The pub is stocking real ales and will host regular events including monthly karaoke nights, poker and ladies’ darts on a Tuesday evenings.

The Britannia in Buckingham Road is another pub to buck the trend and reopen its doors.
