A footie mad builder appeared on Sky Sports from Brazil offering his World Cup tips to England manager Roy Hodgson.

Neil Roberts, the former manager of Aston Clinton FC, is out in Brazil following England’s campaign and he appeared on the sports channel as part of a series of vox-pops with England fans in Sao Paulo ahead of tonight’s must-win match against Uruguay.

Neil was talking to Sky Sports chief football reporter Nick Collins on World Cup Report,

When asked about Wayne Rooney he said: “They should play him through the midfield.

“We should play our best players in their best positions.

“Lallana can play on the left can’t he?

“We have plenty of options so let’s see how it goes.”

Neil, from Aylesbury, who is well known for his footballing prowess locally, is travelling with a group of friends who are carrying a large England flag with Aston Clinton written on it with them.

And Neil’s passion doesn’t stop at football, he also helped Dinton Cricket Club into the semi finals of the National Village Knock Out Cup last season.
