AWARD winning clowns Kakehole and Popol, who were named Britain’s Best Circus Comedy Act twice, are heading to Wendover this weekend.

The pair, who use an exploding grand piano in their act, are part of Circus Wonderland – which will be at Ashbrook Recreation Ground from Friday to Sunday.

The show also features Britain’s Got Talent finalist Denis Remnev, who will set pulses racing as he swoops and soars around the roof of the big top.

The show is based around the theme of ‘wonderland’. Circus spokesman Paul Carpenter said: “Kakehole the Clown discovers a fantasy world of excitement and magic inside an old wardrobe, when he opens the door to a glittering parade of some of Europe’s top circus stars.

“The death-defying Deltai Troupe will have you on the edge of your seat as they spin and somersault high across the circus ring.

“Daredevil Tarzan will wow the crowds with his heart-stopping routine on the jungle trapeze.

“The beautiful Miss Eleanora will stand without flinching as her husband fires arrows towards her at 90mph – landing within inches of her unshielded body.”

The show times are at 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday. Saturday at 2pm and 5pm and Sunday at 2pm.

Tickets are £7 on Friday and £9 on Saturday and Sunday.
