A THAME-based firm has been chosen to create all of the walled features at the The Chelsea Flower Show for the Royal Bank of Canada.
Monocouche Render Systems, which will be taking part in the event from May 22-26, will be creating the features for the RBC Blue Water Garden.
The garden will be a modern and environmental interpretation of the traditional paradise garden; instead of formal rills and canals, excess rainwater is channelled and stored in bioswales, which form the garden’s central feature.
Planting is dramatic and exuberant and features huge swathes of lilies. The garden explores the concept of rainwater management, showing how sustainable concepts can form the basis for the most formal garden designs.
The dramatic pavilion at the rear of the garden has been inspired by the architecture of the Puglia region in Italy.
Monocouche has been commissioned to create all of the walls and rendering using its range of ‘XF’ materials.
