MORE than 200 beer enthusiasts rocked up to support the Chinnor winter beer festival last weekend.
The village hall event made a ‘healthy profit’ and will go towards a new football kit for Chinnor Ladies Football Club.
Manager of Chinnor Ladies and beer festival chairman, Steve Bird, said: “It was very successful and well attended. We think around 230 people came over the whole day.
“We definitely made a healthy profit to go towards the new kit.”
Entertainment was provided by local bands, with beers supplied from nearby breweries.
“We had beers from Chiltern Brewery, Marlow, Tring, Vale and of course Thame,” said Mr Bird.
The Cross Keys pub in Thame even donated a barrel of one of its award winning beers from its microbrewery.
Ladies from the football club were on hand all day to pull pints and serve food.
The next Chinnor beer festival is on August 27.
