British wildlife is the apt subject of the first art exhibition to be held at Tiggywinkles.

The famous Haddenham wildlife hospital is hosting the event on the suggestion of the artist husband of one of it’s nurses.

Nikki Babb, PA to the management team, said: “We are organising this jointly with Stuart Clough.

“He is married to Liz, one of our nurses, and when he saw the facilities in our Red Kite Centre he said it would be perfect for something like this.”

The centre is usually used for talks, lectures and visiting school groups, and is situated next to the aviaries.

The exhibition in March will present a stunning collection from local professional and amateur artists, photographers and sculptors.

“There will be a nice mix of different media.

“I’ve seen a snippet of the exhibits because some of our staff are showing their work. I didn’t realise we had that sort of talent here.”

No booking is required for the exhibition which takes place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 from 10am until 4pm.

Entry is £2, to include a catalogue, children are free.
