THE timetable of events have been confirmed for the Haddenham Real Ale Festival, which takes place on Saturday, July 2.

It is the eighth time the annual event will be held in the village and has been described by an organiser as ‘a day truly offering something for everybody’.

Doors open at 11am, when a selection of draught ales, lagers and ciders – all priced at £2.50 per pint - will be available.

Separate bars offering wines, Pimms, international bottled beers and soft drinks will also open at the start.

At 12.30pm, the jazz band will begin to play and continue throughout the afternoon, with intervals for morris dancers and the Haddenham Hoofers.

A huge family picnic will develop on the expansive grassed areas, with a large array of food available, which includes a barbecue, a curry tent, delicious olives and antipasti, strawberries and cream and traditional bar food.

As the afternoon wears on, there will be a wide range of varied music and other entertainment on offer, with a series of groups playing and a mini-pop festival will develop.
