Lovers of good food and drink are in for a treat this weekend.

The annual Food Festival returns to Thame High Street on Saturday from 9am-5pm with cookery demonstrations, workshops and literally tonnes of food and drink to buy and enjoy.

Raymond Blanc, Tom Kerridge, Adam Simmonds, Sophie Grigson and a fabulous double act from Edd Kimber and John Waite, previous winners of BBC television’s Great British Bake Off, will all be highlights at the landmark event in the foodie calendar.

Visitors can ride into town on an original London Rouemaster double decker bus, possibly driven by festival compere Ken Bruce, before wending their way through the market town which will be packed with over 150 stalls of local and artisan produce.

There will be a chance to stock up on cured meat and salamis, cutting terrines and chillis, Flilpino fusion food, hot smoked beef rolls and delicious Moroccan dishes.

Festival ambassador Monsieur Blanc said: “Thame Food Festival is a special day in my calendar and a day I truly love. How wonderful it is to have seen the event grow from modest beginnings to the fantastic celebration of local and artisan food and drink it is today.”
